Peri-partum Disorders

Peri-partum or better known as post-partum disorders in cattle can affects a producer’s herd. Some post-partum disorders include endometritis, metritis, retained placenta, ketosis and hypocalcemia. All these and more can negatively impact a cow’s heath leading her to possibly be culled from the herd. Producers should know the clinical signs of these diseases and follow all directions from their vet.
